Art Critique by Roberto Litta on the Artistic Production of Andreas Toto Tscherrig

Critical and stylistic analysis of the artist: :

The art of Andreas Toto Tscherrig is characterized by an intense and experimental visual exploration, in which mixed techniques, collage, plexiglass and pictorial interventions converge into an original expressive language. His works appear as layered constructions, where images, signs and different materials interact, creating a dimension suspended between reality and imagination.
The use of transparency and overlapping elements generates visual depth, inviting the viewer to engage in a slow and participatory observation. The human figure occupies a central role, yet it is often transformed into a symbol, mask or psychological fragment. Faces, eyes and profiles emerge from an interplay of lines, colours and material inserts, suggesting reflections on identity, memory and perception.
The graphic mark appears spontaneous and instinctive, while the composition maintains remarkable formal coherence. The combination of collage, unconventional materials and painting creates a balance between creative impulse and compositional control. The result is a dynamic and contemporary body of work, capable of combining introspection, experimentation and poetic strength within an open, engaging and evocative visual narrative.
